1. How does the Buddy Pouch work?
2. Will the magnets hurt my cell phone, credit cards or medical devices? Can it affect the GPS on my phone?
Almost all modern electronics such as cell phones, iPods, flash drives, calculators and similar devices do not contain magnetic storage media which can be affected by magnets. We have tested the Buddy Pouch for 4 years (42,000 hours of use) with all types of credit cards and we have had no instances of the Buddy Pouches causing the credit cards or keys to become demagnetized. Is it possible that cards could become demagnetized? Sure it is. However, they can become demagnetized due to friction, heat, age and many other factors. Hotel key cards and cruise room cards are especially prone to easy demagnetization so you may wish to keep those cards in an RFID sleeve (Buddy Blockers RFID Sleeves) for extra protection. In addition, the waterproof material used to create the RB helps protect your items held in the inner pocket. Now, electronic tape media could be affected, so if you still carry floppy drives, video tapes, cassette tapes or 8-track tapes with you, we recommend you not carry them in your Buddy Pouch. :)
Under certain conditions, magnets and electromagnetic fields might interfere with medical devices. For example, implanted pacemakers and defibrillators might contain sensors that respond to magnets and radios when in close contact. To avoid any potential interactions with these types of medical devices, keep your Buddy Pouch product a safe distance away from your medical device more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart. Consult with your physician and your device manufacturer for specific guidelines. If you suspect that your Buddy Pouch product is interfering with your medical device, stop using your Buddy Pouch product and consult your physician and your medical-device manufacturer.
Finally, the GPS on a phone works on satellite signals, not geomagnetic forces, therefore the magnets do not affect the accuracy of the GPS in your phone.
3. What does RFID mean and what is RFID skimming?
RFID skimming is a form of digital theft, which enables information from RFID based smart cards to be read and duplicated. It can be used as a form of wireless identity theft or credit card theft among other forms of information theft.
RFID protection in our pouches and our "Buddy Blocker RFID sleeves" help protect against this form of RFID pickpocketing. Running Buddy RFID Products

International First Class Orders are not trackable after leaving the United States. International customers purchasing directly from therunningbuddy.com are responsible for all customs fees.
International shipping has additional costs and may have additional custom fees. Due to custom delays and transfers to foreign carriers, we can not guarantee international shipping times or refund international shipping charges.
Running Buddy is not responsible and will be held harmless for any payment chargebacks due to international orders lost or delayed once the receiving country's Customs, postal or carrier services receive the order for customer processing and delivery.
8. How do I remove my Buddy Pouch? How about cleaning?
When removing the pouch from your waistband, we recommend separating both sets of flaps and then removing the pouch. Simply pulling or yanking the pouch out of your waistband without separating the magnets first can put too much stress on the magnet pockets.
We recommend hand washing and laying the Buddy Pouch flat to dry.
9. Can I wear this with my hydration belt?
Absolutely! In fact, the two work very well together as the Buddy Pouch magnets can actually help keep the belt more secure in your waistband with less bounce.
10. How can I use my wired headphones with my Buddy Pouch?
To use earphones, just plug your headphones into your phone or media device through the side-zipper headphone port on the regular Buddy Pouches. RFID Travel pouches do not have side-zipper headphone ports.
